There are several key differences in the process of securing a short-let tenancy agreement compared to a normal longer-term tenancy agreement:

A short-let tenancy is for a term of between four weeks and up to 6 months

Importantly, all monies must be paid in full and in advance, including a 4 week deposit

Normally, utility bills are included in the rental amount, with the exception of telephone and broadband fees, payment of which will be detailed in your tenancy agreement

When you register with LUXOR, the process of finding a short-term rental property is the same as any normal rental process, except you’ll be assigned a specialist account manager through our Corporate & Relocation Services department to guide you through the process. They’ll find out your exact requirements and provide you with detailed advice on budget, location and any other variables that will help you to make the best decision.

A home away from home

There are some fantastic hotels in the UK offering an excellent service, but ultimately you are always under their rule feel somewhat like you’re living out of a suitcase. If you’re settling in for a while, your experience may feel much more at home if to stay slightly off the tourist trail, perhaps in a more suburban area or possibly in a typical residential area where you can get to know the locals.

Most importantly however, short-lets are generally cheaper than the average Hotel. This can lead to a significant saving, especially if the stay is for several months. To summarise, short-lets give you the freedom and flexibility to live much more like a local and can also save you money!

Peace of mind

LUXOR understands the importance of a quick response in the unlikely event of any maintenance issues, which is why we always professionally manage our short-let properties. This means that as well as your Corporate Account Manager, you will also have a dedicated point of contact within LUXOR to deal with any maintenance issues/problems as quickly as possible.

Our Property Management team has access to an extensive list of contractors for any eventuality meaning that we can always find someone to deal with the problem, straight away.

If you require anything specific for your short-let property, it’s likely that we have tried and trusted contractors in place to help. From weekly cleaners to dry-cleaning, chefs or maid services, whatever it might be, don’t hesitate to ask and we will do our best to provide it!
